Street Child United (“SCU”, “we”, “us”) is a registered charity in England and Wales. We are the data controller for personal information collected through this website.

Cookies
We use two categories of cookies:
Essential — required for the site to function (e.g. security tokens, payment sessions). These are always active.
Analytics — Google Analytics 4 and Meta Pixel, used to understand site traffic. These are only set if you click “Accept all” in our cookie banner.

Third-party services
We share data with the following processors, all bound by data processing agreements:
Mailchimp (Intuit Inc., USA) — newsletter delivery
Resend — transactional email (contact form replies)
Stripe (Stripe, Inc., USA) — donation payment processing
Google Analytics (Google LLC, USA) — website analytics (consent only)
Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms, USA) — advertising analytics (consent only)
Where data is transferred outside the UK/EEA, appropriate safeguards (Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent) are in place.
How long we keep your data
Newsletter subscribers — until you unsubscribe
Contact form enquiries — 2 years from last contact
Donation records — 7 years (HMRC Gift Aid requirement)
Analytics data — 14 months (Google Analytics default)
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
Access the personal data we hold about you
Correct inaccurate data
Request erasure (“right to be forgotten”)
Object to processing based on legitimate interest
Withdraw consent at any time (this does not affect past processing)
Data portability
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@streetchildunited.org. We will respond within one month.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) — the UK’s supervisory authority for data protection.

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect any changes.
