Making an Impact

Our Work

We use sport as a platform for rights, recognition, and radical change — from the Street Child World Cup to Young Leaders.

Changing how the world sees street-connected young people.

We’re transforming how the world sees and treats street-connected young people. By bringing young people face-to-face with governments and institutions, we enable young people to challenge and change the systems that marginalise them. We give them the platform to demand their rights to:

Identity

Protection

Education

Gender Equality

Our Young Leaders Programme

Tools, platforms, and support to drive change in their communities.

Participants of our Street Child World Cup events have the chance to enrol in our Young Leaders Programme, which empowers individuals who have the potential to become leaders in their communities. Spanning projects, courses, workshops and activities, the Young Leader programme gives its participants the tools to implement community projects, shape the future and, ultimately, supports them to drive change in society.

SCU and SCWC are getting bigger and bigger. It helps young people realize how big their dreams are and how important they are, and that they can be anything they want if they have the right people by their side to support them.

Before the Street Child World Cup, I felt invisible and had no home. Joining Favela Street and captaining Brazil in 2014 changed everything. Football gave me purpose and a voice. Today, I coach children in my community, helping them find hope just like I did.
