In 2013, the Vitol Group and VTTI launched their first-ever global fundraising initiative in partnership.

In 2013, the Vitol Group and VTTI launched their first ever global fundraising initiative. Led by CEO Ian Taylor, and the Vitol Foundation CEO Robin D’Alessandro, this was a challenge that bought in every employee across the globe. We paired their offices with the participating teams, and each office raised money to support their team. The team at SCU provided bespoke resources to support the challenge, and the success of the fundraising exceeded everyone’s expectations, and was supported by a grant from the Vitol Foundation.

The highest fundraisers won two tickets to the Street Child World Cup, and joined us in Brazil. They have since gone on to lead on many more fundraising challenges for Vitol.

Their support for the Street Child World Cup remains a highlight for the Vitol team, and the partnership between SCU and Vitol is still ongoing.

In 2013-2014, the Vitol Group, the Vitol Foundation and VTTI were proud sponsors of the Street Child World Cup. Every Vitol and VTTI office around the world was randomly paired with a street child national team. The platform that the Street Child World Cup provides to raise the profile of street children has been instrumental in getting the issues they face on to the agendas of their national governments. We have been so impressed by the passion, dedication and resourcefulness of the Street Child World Cup team and the programmes in each country, and the lasting impact this has had on street children around the world.
