Can you Live below the Line and support street children to rise above it?

Posted on the 2nd March 2015

We are excited to announce our second year taking on the Live Below the Line challenge, recipe raising awareness of the lack of choice and opportunity faced by the 1.2 billion people currently living in extreme poverty and to raise vital funds to fight it.

Street Children are by population, buy cialis the 9th biggest country on the planet. This is a country of children denied their rights. UN sources now estimate 150 million children are at risk of the streets. They live below the line.

The challenge

To Live Below the Line is to challenge yourself to live on £1 a day, for all food and drink, for five days. This fundraising and campaigning event will run from 27 April – 1 May 2015 providing unique insight into the lives of millions of street children who live below the poverty line every day.

How you can make a difference

Street children are children who live, work or are at risk of the streets. They live in the shadows of society, extremely vulnerable to abuse and often they have no voice. It does not have to be this way.

By taking on the challenge for Street Child United you will enable us to continue to provide a global platform for the voices of street children so they receive the safety, support and opportunities that all children are entitled to. Through the power of sports and the arts we challenge the negative perceptions of street children, in order to change the way they are negatively treated.

With your help, children at risk of the streets can begin to live above the line and realise their futures away from the streets.
